Cascade Moon Edition No. 2 Whisky

I’m quite excited to start this year by sharing a world-class whisky with you gentlemen, the Cascade Moon Edition No. 2 Whisky. As the name implies, this is the second release from George A. Dickel & Co’s Cascade Moon Whisky series. This one pays homage to Dickel’s 150-year history of crafting fine whisky in some really interesting ways. You’ll immediately notice the bottle looks different than what you’re used to seeing. The unique sand blasted ceramic bottles are sourced from one of the only makers in the world and the labels are hand printed using a 130-year-old press. But you’re probably interested on what’s inside.
This small-batch blend was sourced from the first barrels of TN Whisky after the Dickel distillery returned from shutdown back in 2003. The small-batch blend sourced less than 20 total barrels with whisky aged at least 16 years. It carries notes of leather, vanilla, and oak. I got some baking spice and orange zest on the back end while I had my wife take a whiff and she found a lot of heavy oak on the nose.
So what’s the catch? Well, it’ll be hard to find. Cascade Moon Edition No. 2 will be available in limited quantities in Tennesse, California, and Texas and will be priced at $249.99 if you can find it. I’ve had a chance to sample this whisky and I’ll say that it really exceeded my expectations. The 90-proof 16+ year old liquid is so smooth that sipping it neat is easy and pleasurable, no rocks needed. Limited-Edition Coors Banquet Collection
Our good friends at Huckberry kicked off the new year by dropping an extremely limited-edition collection of clothing with Coors Banquet Beer that has me wanting to immediately spend all of those Christmas checks from my aunts and uncles.
