Eddie Bauer And Huckberry Just Teamed Up For An Exclusive Skyliner Jacket Release

In 1936, Eddie Bauer first started working on a down jacket that would be light enough to travel with but warm enough to save a person’s life. During this time, Bauer was still recovering from a bad case of hypothermia. It threatened his life as he was forced to hike out of a vicious storm while on a fishing trip in his home state of Washington.

By 1940, Bauer had received an official U.S. patent for a down parka coat featuring goose down and diamond shape quilting. That coat would go on to become the timeless Skyliner Jacket.

Now, over 80 years later, Huckberry is teaming up with Eddie Bauer to release an exclusive design of the famous Skyliner. The Huckberry x Eddie Bauer Skyliner Jacket features a custom bark colorway and a light, water-resistant wax coating for an extra barrier of protection to weather.

The shell is made of nylon and treated with DWR moisture-wicking tech, and the insulation is 800 fill premium down that’s Responsible Down Certified.

And perhaps our favorite design choice on the Skyliner collaboration is the soft flannel liner on the inside of the coat. The classic red and white flannel pattern pairs wonderfully with the bark color of the jacket to create an American heritage look.
