Why not take today to treat yourself to some new seasonal everyday carry gear? This EDC collection is also a great starting point if you’re looking for some ideas to give Santa this year. You can pick and choose any of these everyday carry essentials by following the links throughout this article to shop your favorites or the complete collection.
First up today is the Timex 80s Retro Watch ($59) which is criminally underpriced at only $59. This is an everyday watch borne from a generation of ‘DeLoreans, Duran Duran, and Donkey Kong’ that was designed to be ”rad’ in every sense of the word’ by utilizing a geometric watch face and steel expansion band combined with Timex durability and trust. This is a watch you can wear with pretty much every outfit you own (Shorts, Jeans, Chinos, Shortleeves, Tanktop, Buttondown, etc.)
I recently picked up the Sorel Men’s Cheyanne Metro Hi Boots ($140) and I haven’t taken them off for two weeks except to sleep. They’re soft, warm, and the traction blows away my old boots. They feature 100g insulation, a waterproof suede upper, microfleece lining, and seam-sealed waterproof construction. The outsole on these Sorel Men’s Cheyanne Metro Hi Boots is handcrafted waterproof vulcanized rubber tape with a molded rubber outsole. Together, this means your feet are staying 100% dry in light to medium rain. If you are looking for a pair of boots that’s warm, comfortable, provides traction so you don’t slip, that you can wear in the snow or rain, and look great then this is it right here.
The Faherty Brand Reversible Belmar Shirt ($148) was engineered to be perfectly reversible and two shirts on one. You cannot beat that. The doublecloth fabric has an airy homespun texture and it’s woven from organic cotton that’s buttery soft and light. This shirt comes in a few different styles but this one caught my eye.
You can pair that shirt with the Flint and Tinder 365 Pants ($98) in Navy. These pants are available in 14 different colors as well as Slim, Straight, and Tapered cuts. They are a blend of 98% cotton and 2% spandex for a little added comfortable stretch. The blended 8oz fabric makes them perfect for year-round wear.
The Barbour New Check Scarf is a lambswool and cashmere scarf in a classic Black Watch plaid design. This has been a staple of Barbour’s iconic collection for 125 years and it’s a perfect way to stay warm and accessorize this winter.
Here we have the Leatherman Rebar Multi-Tool With Heritage Sheath ($79) which has SEVENTEEN TOOLS tucked into this awesome everyday carry multi-tool. Leatherman is the best. That’s the pitch. I’ve had a Leatherman since I was in the Cub Scouts. They last a lifetime. They’re better than the competition. And they’re reasonably priced. This is a perfect everyday carry tool to keep with you at all times, tuck in the truck, backpack, or toolbox.
Next, we have the Tanner Goods Journeyman Wallet ($65) in ‘Saddle Tan’ leather. I love this slim-profile 3.5oz premium tooling leather wallet with four card slots and a large central pocket for cash. This is made right here in the USA. It also comes in Cognac leather and a few other colorways if you’re looking to match it to your favorite belt or boots.
It’s drinking SZN and there’s no better way to stay hydrated with your favorite spirit than the Barbour Hip Flask which you can tuck neatly inside of your jacket pocket. I’ve been eyeballing this as a perfect Christmas gift this year for relatives. It holds 6oz of your favorite whiskey and comes in a handsome gift box.
We round it out with the Todder Solid Brass Carabiner ($25). This is a classic no-frills brass carabiner that’s built so you can use it for years. It’s made from sand-casted solid brass and it’s been lacquer coated for added durability.
Last up is the 1733 X10 Canvas Ripstop Bookbag ($200) which is exclusively available at Huckberry. This backpack is waterproof and made with a ripstop canvas fabric that’s built to last you a generation. I still have a canvas backpack from the early 90’s that was my older brothers back in the day. I don’t really use it that often but I still have it. This fabric lasts FOREVER. This backpack is made in small batches in Chicago and has top access for EDC pockets, padded straps, a laptop sleeve, zipper counter-pulls and paracord for easy opening, and a lot more features that are awesome.
