Microsoft has slowly waded into the subscription service market, but the giant tech company is diving head first with a new offering that will include Xbox Live, Game Pass (Which you can get three free months HERE – details below), and a video game console. Microsoft is preparing to unveil their new monthly subscription service called “Xbox All Access” and it is expected to be the cheapest way to get a new Xbox, Xbox Live, and Xbox Game Pass.

Xbox All Access will provide customers with an Xbox console and subscriptions to the two services for two years. The service, which will require a contract, will cost around $22 a month and will provide an Xbox One S, Xbox Live, and Xbox Game Pass for two years. You will also be able to upgrade to an Xbox One X for approximately $35 per month. After the 24-month contract has been completely fulfilled, users will own the consoles.

Paying upfront, an Xbox One S costs around $230 on the Microsoft Store with a free game. Xbox Live currently costs $59.99 on the Microsoft Store for a year, with Xbox Game Pass costing $9.99 per month. You can often get Xbox Live cards cheaper through Amazon, or other associated deals, but at the retail price, Xbox All Access should work out a little cheaper over time than paying for all of these services outright.

At $22 a month, it would have a total cost of $528 over two years. To compare, an Xbox One S costs around $230, Xbox Live costs $59.99 per year, and Xbox Game Pass costs $9.99 a month. A total for all of those services and the console is $589.74.

The service, which is codenamed “Project Largo,” is said to only be available in the United States but could roll out the service everywhere if it is a success. Microsoft is said to unveil all of the details for the service later this month.

Microsoft’s Game Pass is a Netflix-like service that offers a huge library of over 200 Xbox One video games all available to play with no limits for a monthly fee. Game Pass just became available on iOS and Android this week. The Game Pass app allows users to browse the entire game library and allows you to add games to the Xbox One’s download queue.

If you can’t wait for the All Access service, Amazon has a great deal on Game Pass. When you buy a six-month Game Pass membership, you’ll get an additional three months free. You can get that deal HERE.

September’s Game Pass library will include the Master Chief Collection that includes: Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4.
