Nike’s Jersey For The Super Bowl Has A Classic ’90s Throwback Vibe

Nike Super Bowl jerseys

I’m low key obsessed with generic Super Bowl merch and collectables. As a kid, I used to collect the Super Bowl Wheaties boxes every year – Pretty sure I still have the Wheaties box for Super Bowl XXX somewhere in my parents’ basement. When I went to the Super Bowl in San Francisco in 2016, I bought an insanely colorful commemorative hat just to keep as a souvenir.

It’s the Super Bowl, after all. Who knows if you’ll ever get to go to it again?

Alas, Nike’s official commemorative jerseys for Super Bowl LVII caught my eye on Nike.com when I was doing a little shopping for fresh Eagles merch. Compared to other run-of-the-mill Super Bowl merch and souvenirs, these have a trippy ’90s vibe that’s so authentically Arizona. There’s a vibrant patch with the Arizona flag over the right chest, plus deep indigo and teal colors that feel like an afternoon drive through the Sororan desert.

Gives me big throwback vibes to the 1995 NBA All-Star jerseys – one of the greatest All-Star jersey drops of all time. So quintessentially ’90s in the best way possible.

Runs $170, but seems like money well-spent. Definitely worth the splurge.

Anyway, if you collect this kind of thing, are from Phoenix, or are going to the game and are team-neutral a la Rob Lowe, it might not be a bad thing to pick up while supplies last.
