Oscar Deen Sunglasses – Shades That Mix Old World Style With A New Sense Of Cool

Sunglasses are that awesome accent that make movie characters extra cool because they can make anyone look extra cool. Whether you’re hiding your hollow cheekbones behind a pair of European shades, or you have that classic eastern European masculine jawline and you’re just accentuating it, you can’t go wrong with a fancy pair of frames to amplify your goods.

Aside from just looking cool, a nice pair of ultraviolet light-blocking sunglasses protect your eyes from the sun’s damaging UV effects, which can include: cataracts, macular degeneration, pterygium, keratitis and even skin cancer of the eyelid. Note that this does not give you permission to keep your sunglasses on at ten at night when you’re entering a club, but to each their own.

The boys behind Oscar Deen went a step further than just cool, comfortable, eye protection. They went trawling through the basements and backstreets of Europe to find the most timeless styles, then used those gems as the basis for their hybrid modern classics: inspired by the iconic specs of old, but updated with cutting-edge tech inside the parts, like organic plastic with UV blocking tints.

Their final frames are hand-finished Italian Mazzucchelli acetate, the top European frame makers since 1849. They’re happy to help make an introduction between amazing and your face. Each unique, timeless classic style is available in a number of different colors. But we’ve chosen our favorites here to really add some extra pop to your chops:

Morris was a brainstorm hailing from Kings Cross, London. Based on the 1950’s American ‘Safety Series’ vintage, the lens depth has been increased to allow for the hard lines to blend into the elegant silhouette style frames, with a hint of brow inclined borrowed from German design. With many colors on offer, we love the almost see-through shining gold classic T model.

Nelson was inspired by a tip that took the founders to a beachside market in Barcelona. In the 1950’s Americana style reminiscent of standard army issue, the face has been broadened, the bridge keyholed and the brow chamfered. We fell in love with the dark olive green to accentuate our face, but it’s available in other colors as well.

Fraser was discovered deep in the arches of North London, before the delicate lines and strong brow of these 1960’s Italian bifocal style met a modern upgrade. Akin to aviators, these squared off lenses have been softened by an angled central brow detail, but still scream for attention. We especially love the Havana style gold and brown ribboned coloring, though others exist.

Carril was inspired digging through the Mercado De Carril of Madrid. These form-fitting style 70’s Americana frames mean business. Boxed-off hinge lugs and softened brow angles are for business mixed with a little pleasure. They offer a number of colors, but we love their smoke.

Oscar Deen’s focus is something for everyone, mixing old style with new culture and fresh experiences is only the start of the adventure.
