‘PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds’ Is Coming To Xbox One In December

The massively successful multiplayer competitive shooter PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is coming to Xbox One. Microsoft, which became PUBG‘s publisher earlier this year, is bringing the super popular battle royale survival shooter video game to the Xbox One. The Hunger Games-esque PUBG will be available on December 12th, through the Xbox Game Preview program. The game will be available for the Xbox One X and it will be enhanced for the upgraded console. Microsoft said the game will be an Xbox One X Enhanced3, with “High Dynamic Range technology to bring out the true visual depth of the battleground.” PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Xbox One version is currently playable at Paris Games Week.

The press release stated: “various Xbox One features and functionality will change and come online over time just like they have on PC, with our goal being to have both versions align to each other as soon as possible.” The Xbox edition of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will have three different limited-edition cosmetic packs available at the time of launch including the PUBG Warrior Pack, the PUBG Accessory Pack, and the PUBG Tracksuit Pack. At the time of the Xbox One launch, the desert map will not be available. The press release added, “there are no plans to feature any in-game purchases in the Xbox Game Preview version” of PUBG. The Xbox One version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will cost $29.99.
