The Renault Clio is one of the more popular cars in Europe thanks to it being very sporty and a plethora of nice features. And if Renault has its way, the Clio is about to become even more popular thanks to their new limited-edition Renault Clio R.S.18, named after and inspired by the Renault Sport Formula One Team.
Sporting a black-and-yellow livery similar to Renault’s most iconic Formula One race cars, is graced with a 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-4 that can put out 220 horsepower and 206 pound-feet of torque. Very impressive horsepower for such a light car (as is also the case with a Formula One car).

Its sporting credentials are expressed by a number of design flourishes drawn directly from the world of Formula 1. The Renault Clio R.S.18 is an eloquent illustration of the close bond that exists between our motorsport activities and our road cars,” stated Quentin Audiffren, Clio R.S. Product Manager, Renault Sport Cars.

The R.S.18 badging on the front doors, plus the grey decals and new R.S. double-diamond logo on the roof are a direct reference to the Renault Sport Formula One Team car it will race in 2018. The Clio R.S.18 also has hints of Renault Sport’s iconic Sirius Yellow for the F1-style front blade, protective side moldings and wheel center caps. The rear badging, front bumper, Renault diamond and R.S. logo on the bumper are entirely black, which is exclusive to this car.
Now if we could just get Renault to set up shop here in America again, it’d be a whole lot easier to snag one of these bad boys.
