Samsung is in crisis mode after its flagship $850 phone has literally been blowing up on customers. We reported earlier today that Samsung has permanently stopped production on the Note 7 after faulty lithium-ion batteries were overheating the device and causing it to ignite.
The discontinuation of the phone cost the company an estimated loss of $1 billion during the first recall. But, as our own Paul Sacca reported today, the loss could be as much as $17 billion in sales based on lost sales of the 19 million Galaxy Note 7 units Samsung had originally expected to sell during the device’s lifetime.
This is funny for everyone except Samsung. Twitter has been blowing up over the catastrophe. Below are the funniest reactions.
