Nissan just unveiled their latest Star Wars-themed show vehicle at the Solo: A Star Wars Story world premiere in Hollywood and I just have one question: would you drive it?

I think I would. I’d love to roll up to the grocery store or the movie theater in this Millennium Falcon-themed bad boy. And imagine the looks you would get rolling down the highway. Yeah, I think I would drive this SUV around, at least for a little while.

“As the third installment of our own trilogy of collaborations with Lucasfilm, we raised the bar delivering our best custom show vehicle yet,” said Jeremy Tucker, Nissan’s vice president of marketing communications and media. “We started with the best-selling Nissan Rogue and worked with the talented concept designers at Lucasfilm and ILM. Then we turned to the experts at Vehicle Effects bring it to life. The result is hands-down the most complete and thrilling vehicle we’ve ever done.”

This particular model is the most extensive Star Wars-themed Nissan custom show vehicle the company has ever built.

The interior features buttons, lights and sound effects closely reflecting the sights and sounds of the Millennium Falcon’s cockpit. It also features front- and second-row chairs like those seen inside the Millennium Falcon. Additionally, center-mounted “hyperdrive” controls bring the package to life.

On the outside, there are custom handcrafted aluminum body panels and 3D-printed inserts featuring details mimicking the Millennium Falcon. There is also a roof-mounted radar dish and laser cannon, a multi-pane windshield, a “subspace-hyperdrive unit” spanning the entire width of the Rogue that glows blue, and a trio of high-mounted Bose speakers and an 18-inch Bose subwoofer which delivers an impressive 1,500 watts.

No word yet on whether Nissan will be producing another special limited edition Star Wars-themed Rogue like they did in 2017 for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Perhaps one with an actual rear windshield.
