You might not be able to tell based on my current 10-minute mile, but I ran cross country/track for all three seasons of high school. Back then, I was about 130 pounds sopping wet (and about the same height as I am now, so freakishly skinny), I could run a sub-5 mile, and I LOVED cross country season in the fall.
