WATCH: The Battle Over Which New 5-hour ENERGY® Donut Flavor Is Better Continues

5-hour ENERGY® Donut Flavors

Brandon Wenerd

A civil war is brewing. Households divided against themselves. Families torn apart. Friends becoming bitter enemies. I’m of course talking about The Great 5-hour ENERGY® Donut Flavor Debate of 2026. Which one is better: Jelly Donut or Boston Cream? Will we ever have peace in our time, or will these two delicious new flavors tear our society apart? Okay, it’s not that serious, but you need to try both and pick a side!

To help settle the debate, our colleague Brandon took to the streets of Los Angeles on bike and ventured to Venice Beach to let the beachgoers decide (and sample some of LA’s finest donuts along the way):

Never thought of donuts in a cosmic sense like Brandon brings up here, but I’m into it.

Want to weigh in on the debate yourself? That’s good: 5-hour ENERGY® wants you to draw your line in the sand and pick your team with the following steps:

1. Record yourself trying the flavors: Capture a social-friendly vertical video trying both new Jelly Donut and Boston Cream Donut 5-hour ENERGY® shots.

2. Pick your hat: Like a prospective college athlete, declare your team by putting your chosen hat proudly on your head. Hats and other cool donut merch can be found here.

3. Share to social: Share your video on social media and tag @5hourENERGY.
