YETI Is Now Making Luggage, Introduces A New Line Of Crossroads Travel Bags

Having conquered the cooler game and the drinkware game, it was only a matter of time until YETI got in the the luggage game.

YETI just launchd a brand new line of travel bags, with the Austin-based outdoor lifestyle company calling it “one our most significant launches to date.”

While YETI has been in the travel bag game for a couple years now, the new YETI Crossroads line cements its comeuppance as a major player. The new line features backpacks, duffels, and soft-sided luggage options, available in a variety of sizes and colors.

YETI also announced their first-ever hard-sided luggage offering, the Panga 22 Carry On, which will be available in April. YETI says it will be their first 100% waterproof luggage item.

A distinguishing characteristic of the new Crossroads Collection is each item’s overall toughness. YETI Crossroads bags are engineered to be lightweight, yet super tough, designed for durability, protection, accessibility, and organization.

Each YETI Crossroads bag is crafted out of a water-repellent material that YETI calls “Tuffskin Nylon” – YETI says this material is traditionally found in protective safety equipment, including motorcycle apparel and airbags. It’s also polyurethane (PU) coated so that it cleans up easy and stays safe if you find yourself in a light rainstorm.

In addition to the quality and durability for which all YETI products are known, the new YETI Crossroads bags and duffels are available in a variety of sizes and colors, packed with easy-to-access stash pockets and dividers for organization.

In a press release, Matt Reintjes, President and CEO at YETI, talks about how the new Crossroads collect fits a unique need in the marketplace:

“We first introduced bags as part of our portfolio in 2017 to support our communities and customers who were seeking durable products that met their needs both in active pursuits and in their daily lives. Over this time, we gained a deeper understanding of how our customers used our products, impacting our design process and ultimately leading to the development of the versatile, tough, and premium Crossroads Collection.”
