There’s been no shortage of coverage about 18-year-old Modern Family star Ariel Winter’s incredible Instagram and Snapchat game here on BroBible. For example, last week the world stopped turning for a couple seconds when she Snapchatted from Coachella. Likewise when she went on vacation a few weeks ago. Or when she started Instagraming bikini pics. Or when she revealed her Easter outfit.
Meanwhile, her Mom is pissed and just body-shamed her daughter to Inside Edition. This is especially unfortunate considering how Winter absolutely owned it earlier this year when her breast reduction scars were visible at the SAG Awards.

But while Winter was praised for the decision not to hide the scars, her mom wasn’t impressed.
“I’m sorry, I just think this is inappropriate,” Workman told IE. “She should never be embarrassed of her scars but she shouldn’t be flaunting them.”
Workman spoke to IE after Winter blasted her mom on Good Morning America in March — more than three years after they stopped talking.
“It wasn’t a supportive loving home. I had a really tough time,” the actress told GMA.
She revealed that she and her mother have not spoken in more than three years.
But speaking to IE, Workman defended herself, saying: “I didn’t start this battle. I haven’t seen her in three and a half years. I don’t know why she is bringing this up. I think Ariel is conjuring up stories to help her career at my expense and I feel as a parent I am being bullied.”
Wow. What a terrible situation. She just threw her daughter under the bus with some motherly-body shaming.
Yo, let the bird out of the nest like adults do to their fellow adults.
The fact that mom is defending herself to a tabloid entertainment show like Inside Edition tells you what you need to know about the situation. Who would do that to their kid, regardless of what they’re doing in life/social media? Some things don’t need to be made public.
