I was born and raised in Florida, have spent the majority of my life living here, and I can attest to the fact that the Sunshine State outshines every other state in the nation when it comes to head-scratching ‘WTF’ news.
The demographics of Florida have a lot to do with the weird as fuck 24/7/365 news cycle, and those demographics are: (1) elderly/retired, (2) bartenders from Minnesota/Wisconsin who couldn’t make it through another Winter and ‘just decided to get in the car and drive to Florida’, (3) people born here who have one really hot parent and one really ugly (and really successful parent), (4) strippers, and last but not least are the (5) meth heads.
Well, comedic genius and former Guyism/BroBible contributor Jeff Wysaski (of Pleated Jeans and Obvious Plant) managed to capture lightning in a bottle by creating a fake ‘tourist guest book’ and leaving it at an Airbnb in Florida, mocking up all the reasons people would ever visit. This is 100% fake but let’s be honest here, these reasons could be 100% real because it’s WTFlorida we’re talking about:
I lost it at ‘I saw a photo of a dog wearing sunglasses on the Internet’ because I’d wager good money that more than a handful of people have visited Florida for this reason and this reason alone.
