Batkid gets his own mini-documentary, steals our hearts again

On November 15th, 2013, the world was introduced to Batkid, a 5-year-old cancer survivor who helped save San Francisco from evil villains. The heartwarming story has now been turned into a documentary and well, are there onions in here?

The 10-min video details Batkid’s day, his struggle with the Riddler, his fight with the Penguin, his daring rescue of Lou Seal. It also gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the preparations made by the San Francisco Make-A-Wish foundation.

The original plan called for 200 volunteers. They thought it was going to happen in someone’s backyard. In the end, more than 12,000 participated—several thousand more cheered him on. The entire city of San Francisco stopped what they they were doing, they stopped to make one kid’s day.

Miles was the hero San Francisco deserved. Miles was the hero San Francisco needed.
