There are plenty of movies where you expect mostly video effects, but The Great Gatsby wasn’t one of them. That’s what makes this seemless before and after Gatsby VFX reel even more impressive.
Maybe I’m a sucker, or naive at a mionimum, but I assumed most of that was real. You’re telling me they couldn’t find a huge mansion at which to shoot the movie? They should have used Leonardo DiCaprio’s house. That place is probably better than the grounds they digitally created!
