The comedy classic Dumb and Dumber came out 19 years ago so it’s been quite awhile since we’ve seen these two together. Their careers have gone in entirely different paths. Carrey became a megastar in the 90s commanding millions of dollars for movies like Ace Ventura, Liar Liar, The Truman Show and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Lately though, he’s had some massive bombs including The Incredible Burt Wonderstone which he starred in alongside Steve Carell.
Daniels on the other hand is in the midst of a career resurgence with his role as Will McAvoy in HBO’s Newsroom. A role that won him an Emmy Award this past Sunday.
Despite the disconnect, the two won’t miss a beat for the sequel. They’re incredibly talented actors, wonderful entertainers and have dynamic screen chemistry. The movie will kill, I have no doubt about that.
