There were bad movies in 2012? I had no idea! It’s always a nice day when the Razzie Awards nominations come out. A welcome antidote to the ceaseless back-patting of Hollywood awards season, the Razzies spotlight the utter dreck that the movie industry pumped out over the course of a year.
This year’s nominations don’t hold many surprises – Twilight is present in every category, and a terrifyingly overexposed Tyler Perry gets five nominations – but I can’t think of a more Razzie-worthy movie than Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure, the demented kids movie that tanked without a trace in September. The Razzie Awards are given on the same night as the Oscars, February 24th. Here’s the complete list of nominations.
