The fine folks over Durex, in their continuing efforts to do the Lord’s work, have completed a study which details the average ages at which people in countries around the world lose their virginity.
As a part of their Face of Global Sex report, they studied 44 countries and by the looks of the list, the colder it is outside the more likely people are going to lose their virginity at a younger age. Have to do something to keep warm I suppose.
As for us Americans, we scored 24th oldest out of the 44 countries with an average age of 18-years-old for when we lose our virginity. Wouldn’t want to waste a precious second past the usual “age of consent” would we?
The United Kingdom was slightly higher at 18.3 years, while Canada came in at 18.1 years of age.
Meanwhile in Scandanavia, they lose their v-card at much younger ages, with Iceland taking the “top” spot at 15.6-years-old. Maybe it’s that whole being dark all the time thing that leads to it?
On the flipside, Asian countries dominated the other end of the spectrum with Malaysia not giving it up until age 23, the oldest age on the list.
