They never infringed on anyones rights. Private groups are allowed to have private things even if they are rracist. Even more so at a state school. This wasnt an event that was held it was a video of a private gathering. Unless the propagate bigotry in the open the univ has no standing.

Contrary to popular belief the first amendment is designed to PROTECT UNPOPULAR SPEACH. As a state institution and a facility of higher learning its their job to uphold their right to say whatever they want short of purposefully inciting violence.
So essentially they can go after the univ but it would make the SAE national chapter look bad so you wont hear anything.

This is like an NRA argument. Are they fighting for a murderer to have a gun? Of course not but you cant let the case go to set precedent for a legitimate gun owner.

Sometimes we must protect the stupid, so that the rest of us dont lose our rights.
