I love my grandpa, I do. But listening to him and my father go back and forth about why his laptop isn’t working is one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had, mostly because on one hand it’s ridiculously funny and on the other, stupid. My grandpa wants Google to “go away” because he likes his homepage to be Yahoo! Like for one thing, you can’t just make Google “go away,” it’s fucking Google, and second of all who the fuck uses Yahoo! ? I know he’s not even using their mail service or search bar, he just doesn’t like the change and can’t handle seeing Google instead of Yahoo! after starting up Internet Explorer, which is another problem in and of itself.
But you know…old people. They don’t know things. Just like this grandpa who’s trying to unfreeze his computer with a hairdryer.
