‘What Would You Do If Money Didn’t Matter?’ Video Will Put Life In Perspective, Bros

“Just do rad shit.”

A mentor told me that once many years ago. It stuck instantly.

In many ways, that’s the best and only advice he’s ever given me. It’s motto. It’s one of the first things I think about when I wake up and drag myself from my bed to my coffee machine to kickstart the day.

There’s something about January that’s perfect for hitting the life reset button. Maybe it’s the winter chill. Maybe it’s the wide-openness of a calendar year waiting to be filled. Maybe it’s the sudden sense of needing to accomplish something after the decadence, lethargy, and bingeing of a holiday season that starts at Halloween.

I don’t really do New Year’s Resolutions. Just a generic, vanilla “be better” and I’m done with it. But Alan Watts’s iconic speech “Do You Do It, or Does It Do You?” just reaffirms everything I’m about in life: Passion > money, every single time.

“It’s better to have a short life full of what you love doing than a long life spent the wrong way.”

Those are some goddamn immortal words. We should all listen to them.

Be better. Do rad shit.

There’s nothing more Bro than that.
