Last week YouTube comedian Nicole Arbour posted a very not-funny video to her YouTube account titled “Dear Fat People” in which she spent 6 minutes ranting about how fat shaming isn’t a thing and how fat people should stop eating to lose weight. As with anything centering around people’s weight, the video received loads of backlash and Nicole’s account was even temporarily suspended on Saturday afternoon (although it has since been reinstated):

On fat shaming as an issue, if it worked, every girl would be skinny by high school and they’d just start calling junior high “fat camp”

Fat shaming doesn’t make you “want to change” it often makes things worse. So yes, #nicolearbour, fat shaming is as real as cyber bullying.

Guys, fat shaming works! That’s why there are no fat people.

It’s not fat shaming it’s you’re extremely unhealthy and you should feel guilty about it

But the bigger problem here that no one seems to notice is that NICOLE’S VIDEO ISN’T EVEN FUNNY. I laugh at literally EVERYTHING because I’m a fucking twat and I didn’t even crack a smile at this. Not twice, not once, not at all. You guys realize that this girl makes money from YouTube videos, right? As in she gets paid per view (or something to that effect)? So by all of you people having goddamn meltdowns over whether or not it’s okay to “fat shame” someone you’re actually padding her bank account with $ on $ on $.
Good move Internet.
