Nevada Will Soon Have Legal Marijuana So Watch A Wondrous Machine Roll 100 Joints In 3 Minutes

On July 1, 2017, Nevada is scheduled to become the fifth state to legalize marijuana for recreational purposes. Last November, Nevadans approved recreational marijuana with 54 percent on a vote. The law makes it legal for anyone over 21 to possess as much as one ounce of marijuana or one-eighth of an ounce of concentrate. The state of Nevada will place a 15 percent excise tax on marijuana sales plus dispensaries will pay fees and licensing which is said to generate $20 million for schools a year. One dispensary is getting ready for the legalization of weed with the help of a tremendous machine that can quickly roll massive amounts of joints.

The Acres Cannabis dispensary in Las Vegas expects there to be a massive demand for the newly legal herb. They expect to sell 5,000 joints in just 48 hours, which means they can’t be hand-rolling blunts all day long. Instead, they have a fancy contraption called the “Futurola Knockbox” rolling the joints. The Dutch invented the marvelous machine that rolls 100 joints every three minutes. “This thing is revolutionary,” said store manager Nick Sanchez. “As a teenager, I had my brother roll for me because I was terrible at it. Now look at me!”

The joints, which are filled with a gram of weed, will sell for between $5 to 10 each. Sanchez insists that the joints will be great because he does the quality control by trying the green himself. “Just to make sure the rolling is consistent, I have to try a couple,” Sanchez said.

There are estimates that there will be approximately $393 million in legal marijuana sales in 2018, as well as a possible $1.1 billion in economic impact by 2024. There are projections that the legal weed industry will add as many as 6,200 new jobs. Just legalize it everywhere already.
