Well… This sucks. Over the weekend, a Toronto man watched his dream car — a $845,000 Porsche 918 Spyder electric hybrid — go up in smoke after a freak accident at a gas station. According to witnesses, gas overflowed from the car while he was filling it up. The heat from the exhaust caused it to ignite and quickly go up in flames, beyond the point of repair. Porsche is only making 918 units of the hybrid supercar and this one, reportedly owned by millionaire Toronto investor Michael Wekerle, is now completely toast.
