The 30 Most Popular Places People Go On A First Date Show Low-Key Rules The Day

Dating app Clover analyzed the data of 200,000 of their users to determine where most people go on a first date. Hope you like chain restaurants and coffee.

The number one spot for a first date among those 200,000 users was none other than Starbucks. Makes sense I suppose. No real time commitment there. If things aren’t going well you can just slam that cappuccino and get the hell out of these without wasting much of your life.

Then again, places 2 through 14, all require a bit more of a commitment as you’ll have to at least make it through an entire meal. No way you’re getting out of Texas Roadhouse or LongHorn Steakhouse in a hurry. Also, I love the fact that In-N-Out Burger placed so high. Not sure what that means, but I like it.

The propensity for restaurants being all over the top 15 is probably due to the fact that more men prefer meeting at an eating establishment on a first date, while women, being wiser, prefer coffee shops by a wide margin. Neither sex has much interest in meeting in a bar or a super fancy restaurant. Smart move by both.
