BREAKING: At Least 60 Dead After Truck Plows Into Crowd At Bastille Day Celebration In Nice, France, Terrorism Suspected

There is shocking, horrific news out of France right now.

According to multiple reports, a truck traveling 35-40 miles plowed into a crowd in Nice, France, killing at least 60, in a suspected terrorist attack.

UPDATE: The number of dead has been revised to 73.

UPDATE 4: According to CNN, the death toll has risen to 80

The attack comes on Bastille Day, the French equivalent of the Fourth of July.

Officials out of Nice are saying possibly a hundred more are wounded.

The truck struck the Promenade des Anglais, a walkway along the Mediterranean.

Witnesses report that after emerging from the truck, the driver and police exchanged gunfire, leading French authorities to suspect a terrorist attack. The driver of the truck was killed in the exchange.

Pictures and videos circulating on social media of the aftermath show shots of people lying on the ground in the middle of the street, after having been hit.

Video from the scene shows a crowd frantically running away.

UPDATE 3: According to the president of the Nice region, the truck was loaded with arms and grenades.

Authorities are working to determine if the truck driver attacked alone.

In November, 130 people were killed in a terrorist attack in Paris.
