World’s Biggest Scumbag Scams His Sweet Old Grandparents Out Of Their Home They’ve Lived In For Over Five Decades

Well, here’s a story that will definitely make you feel like a great grandchild by comparison. Maybe you haven’t called your grandparents in a few weeks, but at least you never financially ruined them. The couple, Helen and Hank Kawecki, were apparently tricked by their grandson who was able to get them to sign over the deed to their Houston, Texas home of 56 overs, where he then mortgaged before putting it up for sale.

According to Fox Houston,

“When the couple confronted the grandson, they say he left and never came back. Hank Kawecki says he feels lost. He says, “I’m hoping something will happen that we can get it back. I don’t know how, but you never know. Maybe the man upstairs will help us out.”

Helen says, “I asked him outright, is my house for sale. He said, “no, no, don’t worry about it.” But it was for sale.”  Not only was the house for sale, all the equity was gone.

Emerson says, “He took out a loan of $360,000 then he took out another loan for $65,000. Then, he went to another mortgage broker, packaged those and took out another loan for $47,400 and he didn’t make any payments on that. That started the foreclosure going.”

That’s some heart-breaking stuff. It’s even more upsetting to learn that the grandparents wouldn’t disclose the name of their grandchild, since they don’t want to ruin his life.  I think that we can all agree that there is a special place in hell for those who take advantage of the elderly.

A GoFundMe campaign was started with the intention of saving the couple’s home.
