These Two Bros Have Been Sending Each Other The Same Birthday Card Back And Forth For Over 40 Years

These two bros have been sharing the same Peanuts birthday card back and forth for over 40 years now, and it’s a true show of just how much love two brothers can share without ever having to say it to each other’s faces. The card dates back to the early 70’s and has been exchanging hands between these two brothers for over 40 years now, and one of the brother’s children finally shared this brilliant display of fraternal emotion with the Internet. I’m like 99.99% convinced that these brothers are related to Ron Swanson:

I’ve never bought into the Hallmark concept of needing to send someone an expensive and topical birthday card with a long message written within. Perhaps it’s because my older bro never gave me cards when we were kids, and I idolized him as most little bro’s do. Or perhaps it’s because cards are a complete waste of money, when instead of buying a piece of paper and writing a message in it you could actually tell the person something nice and heartfelt, and share with them face-to-face why you think they should have a happy birthday.

I don’t want to get too emotional on you bros, but this card chokes me up and twists a knife right into all my feels. The year they started this card was the year my late older brother was born (1973), and this is a beautiful reminder of the bond of brotherhood. My bro’s birthday would’ve been this month if he was still around, and I can’t help but think how cool it would’ve been to have shared something like this with my brother. So what I’m really trying to say here, bros, is text or call your brother right now and tell him you love him, because you never know when the time will come where you won’t be able to send that overpriced birthday card or not tell him that you love him.
