The penguins of the Boulders Beach African Penguin Colony chill about 200 feet away from the Boulders Beach Lodge and Restaurant.
On the menu at said restaurant are such tantalizing entrees as Panfried Linefish (Served on a bed of garlic roasted potatoes, broccoli and sauce Vierge), Red Coconut Seafood Curry (Coconut red seafood curry with linefish, prawns, mussels, calamari, jasmine rice and coriander yogurt) and Vegetarian Risotto of the Day (ask your server).
I don’t know about you, but being so close to such a delicious spot would make me want to try it. Like when you pass by a Thai restaurant all the time and eventually go out on a whim and order the Drunken Noodles for dinner one Tuesday.
Well, this penguin from the colony was ready to check out the Boulders Beach Restaurant. So, like any human, sans reservation, he waddled on in.
He was not, however, served, because humans sometimes discriminate against penguins. This should stop. Give the guy some food. Does he not look like the kind of penguin who would love some risotto? He would. He would love some risotto.
