Back in the day, my little brother had this rubber snake that he bought at one of those toy stores you stroll into on family vacation in Rehoboth Beach. For a couple months, it was an on-going joke for him to leave it in the fridge or our chest freezer in the basement just to scare the living bejesus out of someone in the family. It was a solid prank, because who isn’t going to shit their pants when a menacing snake looks like it’s about to pounce. To this day, I still hate those slimy critters.
The Philadelphia Flyers equipment manager basically pulled the exact same prank on the team, ripping a rubber cobra to the lid of a Gatorade cooler. The squeals of terror from grown professional hockey players — the ultimate tough guys — are comedy at its best.
