Another day, another pod release for The BrilliantlyDumb Show, and this was a wild one.
In this episode’s sports segment we discuss the new minute restriction and rest era the NBA is headed into. There is nothing worse currently than watching Zion Williamson absolutely light it up in New Orleans, only to watch him get taken out because he hit his 25-minute playing restriction.
In addition, we discuss the travesty of no more than a good 12 people waiting at the airport to greet the San Francisco 49ers from their return home from a Super Bowl in Miami. The difference between the silence on that flight home compared to Kansas City’s pride and joy Andy Reid turning up with personalities like Travis Kelce and ‘The Honeybadger’ Tyrann Mathieu in aisle 10 of their flight just truly intrigues me. Three days later Kyle Shanahan is being described by many as the biggest choke artist in Super Bowl history, while Patrick Mahomes is on top of a double-decker bus catching and chugging bud lights being thrown at him from fans during their victory parade.
We then close the sports segment with “Jersey Jerry” a frequent lunatic caller of the show, who sounds like Tony Soprano at the age of 24. We discuss his prop bet predictions in which he claimed were all “guaranteed locks” prior to the Super Bowl that he went a staggering 0 for 6.
The show closes with an outrageous story of me pissing off Dan Bilzerian while trying to upgrade him at a luxury hotel I worked at prior to my BroBible career. You’ll find out that a 15-second elevator ride with an unhappy Danny B will seem more like an extremely long 15 minutes. Only to be saved by my colleague ‘Skip The Bellman’ when he compliments him on the ‘cuteness’ of his Persian cat ‘smushball’.
Until then we have an action-packed week ahead as the golden voice, IG star Bob Menery will join us in studio Monday followed by an appearance from Jimmy Tatro and Christian Pierce to discuss their hit show “The Real Bros of Simi Valley”. Should be a heater of an epi.
