Once upon a time the perfect couple John Legend tried to break up with his now wife Chrissy Teigen almost broke up, but guess what? Chrissy wasn’t having it.
Which would have been a crying shame if they had broken up because then we wouldn’t have ever been treated to Chrissy’s response to everyone sending her photos of babies who look like her husband or stories about their sex life.
In a new interview with The Guardian, Legend let slip the fact that at one point he thought his life would simply be better without her in it…
The couple, who married in Italy in 2013, have been together for nearly a decade, with the brief exception of one almost-breakup. “I was really stressed and busy,” he says. “I was just like: ‘I’d just be happier single right now,’ and she was like: ‘No.’” They were dating again less than half an hour later.
So there you go. Just say “no” apparently works when someone tries to dump you. No guarantees it will work out as well as it did for John and Chrissy though.

Naturally, since she’s the queen of Twitter, Teigen must have been asked about this new revelation regarding her and Legend’s relationship because she responded with an A+ tweet about it…

It wasn't a a typical breakup. He was on tour and his voice hurt and he was being a whiny face about everything and so yeah, I was like "no"

My now-husband tried to pull the same thing, and I definitely say "I told you so," 15 years later. You're basically obligated to 😂
