The NFL’s trade deadline was a wild ride for football fans. It was the most active deadline in league history and saw quite a few big names find new teams.

Despite that, there are still plenty of teams that have needs that weren’t addressed before the deadline. For quite a few teams, that unmet need was a wide receiver despite the fact that Brandin Cooks, Jerry Jeudy, and DJ Moore all seemed to be available.

Now that the deadline has passed, there are very few options for these teams as they prepare for a playoff push. Odell Beckham Jr seems to find his name at the top of that list of options for a few teams.

Where Odell would end up this season has been a major story in the league for months as his signing has been put on hold as he recovers from the ACL injury he suffered in the Super Bowl.

There have been links between Odell and the Bills, Giants, Rams, Chiefs and Packers since the start of the offseason, but it remains unclear where he will actually sign.

With the trade deadline having past, it seems like there is more of a rush for teams to learn that answer as Albert Brees has reported that the Bills, Packers, Rams, and Buccaneers have all contacted Odell about a potential signing.

It’s difficult to see how 3 of these options make sense for Odell at this point in the season. He won’t be back until December, meaning he would really only be helpful to anybody he signs with for the last few weeks of the season and the playoffs.

That would be too late for the Packers and Rams, who are both currently on the outside of the playoff picture and could be on the verge of missing there playoffs by the time Odell returns.

There just doesn’t seem to be a role for him with the Bucs. They already have Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Russell Gage, and Julio Jones at receiver.

The Bills don’t necessarily need Odell, but he would give them another weapon on a dangerous offense.

While there may only be 4 teams that have already contacted him, don’t be surprised if Odell Beckham Jr ends up playing somewhere that isn’t on this list.
