This 78-Year-Old Lady Who Easily Deadlifts 225 Pounds Will Be Your Motivation To Hit The Gym Today

I don’t know what your grandma was doing the other day, but my guess is that she wasn’t in the gym and doing 225 pound deadlifts like they were nothing at all. For 78-year-old Shirley Webb, though, well, welcome to her life.

Webb, who started lifting two years ago, has even broken deadlifting age- and weight-group records in a couple of states, Illinois and Missouri, showing that she’s probably stronger than I am—even though she’s 47 years older than me.

Age is nothing but a number, so it’s good hearing Shirley Webb talk about why she works out everyday, per ESPNW:

“I have no intention of stopping right now,” Webb said. “When I go to the gym and work out, when I leave, I feel so much better than I did when I went in, and I just feel so good. I feel tremendous.”

After seeing this, it might be time for you to up your gym game, because Shirley Webb is officially stronger than you are.

Now watch another old lady scream and yell during a raw squat competition:
