For the first time in his NFL career, Aaron Rodgers finds himself acclimating to playing for a team that isn’t the Green Bay Packers.

Despite the change being a new experience for him, it’s a change that Rodgers has dove head first into.

Rodgers spent the weekend taking in the sports experience that comes along with being the star of a team with “New York” in their name.

He spent Saturday and Sunday at Madison Square Garden taking in playoff games for the Rangers and Knicks.

He has also already begun building rapport with his teammates.

Yesterday, a video was released of him throwing to New York Jets star wide receiver and reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson.

Today, Rodgers already began praising his new star receiver and during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, even compared him to the last great receiver he played with, Davante Adams.

“He’s a talented guy. I threw him a pass today and just kind of turned and was like ‘wow.’ . . . His ability to kind of get in and out of his breaks,” Rodgers said. “There’s another 17 I played with for a long time who does it better than anybody. The explosiveness in and out of breaks, the 17 here, is pretty similar.”

At this time last year, it was Davante Adams who was making comparisons between Rodgers and his new quarterback in Las Vegas, Derek Carr. That comparison didn’t turn out all that well a Carr ended up being replaced by Jarrett Stidham at the end of the year and was then released during the offseason.

Fans will be expecting much better results from Rodgers’ first season with Wilson. With one of the NFL’s best defenses in 2023, Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard at receiver, and Breece Hall back running the ball, Aaron Rodgers should be set up for a successful first season in East Rutherford.
