It appears Aaron Rodgers has an Achilles injury and there’s now close-up video to prove it.

On Monday night, Rodgers went down with a lower leg injury after getting sacked in the opening minutes of the Jets-Bills Monday night football game.

Fans were immediately worried about Rodgers’ health when he was carted off the field moments later.

Initial reports have already stated that the Jets fear that Rodgers suffered an Achilles injury on the play.

During the late edition of SportsCenter, ESPN provided a close-up video that appeared to show the exact moment when the injury happened.

Here’s another video of the injury that shows the “pop” in the Achilles.

Update: Jets head coach Robert Saleh confirmed that the team fears Rodgers ruptured his Achilles.

While the team has already confirmed Aaron Rodgers has ruptured his achilles tendon it remains unclear what happens next for the future Hall of Famer.

The Ohio State University College of Medicine has published a study on achilles recovery. They state the best-case recovery time is 6 to 9 months with athletes typically able to return “to sport may take 9 to 12 months depending on the severity of injury and nature of the sport the patient desires to play.” Age is also a factor.

It is too soon to speculate on the severity of Aaron Rodgers’ achilles tear. He will undergo evaluation as soon as possible and the best courses of treatment will quickly be compiled. Aaron Rodgers will then weigh the best treatment options and decisions will be made. But all of that takes time and NFL fans will need to be patient as Rodgers makes some life-altering decisions.
