Aaron Rodgers Offers Response To Sauce Gardner Tweet Calling Him A ‘Chaperone’

We might well be watching the NFL’s newest bromance forming right in front of our eyes.

And it’s one that nobody could have predicted.

When Aaron Rodgers officially became a member of the New York Jets just prior to last week’s NFL Draft, he quickly began courting his new teammates

He hung out with former Packers teammate Allen Lazard. Spent time with second-year running back Breece Hall, and even sat courtside for a New York Knicks game with 2022 Defensive Rookie of the Year Sauce Gardner.

Rodgers, 39, and Gardner, 22, wouldn’t exactly seem like a perfect fit for one another. There’s a massive age difference. They play different sides of the ball, and the two seemingly have different personalities.

But one hilarious moment at Madison Square Garden seems to have cemented the pair’s relationship.

Gardner revealed on Wednesday that he did not know who movie star Jessica Alba was.

“I got to meet a few movie stars. I got to meet Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Tracy Morgan, I met quite a few people,” he said.

“When we were getting seated, he was just picking on me for being young. We were getting seated, and he was like, ‘We’re about to sit by Jessica Alba.’ I’m just like, ‘I don’t know who that is.’ He looked at me like I’m crazy.”

That revelation led to a hilarious tweet exchange.

First, Alba gave Gardner props for the way he handled himself.

To which Gardner replied, thanking Alba for the experience and calling Rodgers his “chaperone.”

Rodgers, however, seemed a bit caught off guard by the use of the term.

“Chaperone??? Elder??? 🤣🤣🤣 you are funny @iamSauceGardner, glad to be helping you meet new people 💪🏼 #,” he tweeted.

Rodgers is just 39 years old. But that’s ancient in football years. And the use of a hashtag behind an emoji is just another sign of Rodgers showing his age.

But hey, with friends like Jessica Alba, who cares?
