Adrian Peterson Is Back With The Minnesota Vikings

Adrian Peterson has returned to the Minnesota Vikings after a nine-month absence, according to a report from ESPN.

The running back will participate in OTAs today, his first football activity with the team since being indicted on Sept. 12 for hitting his young son with a switch.

“I’m returning because I want to. I’m a part of this football team and I owe it to the guys I play with and to our coaches,” Peterson told ESPN. “I was planning on coming in this week, and I’m looking forward to getting back on the field. It’s what I love to do.”

This news comes after months and months of Peterson suggesting he’d do almost anything to leave the Vikings and play elsewhere, citing the team’s lack of support and even involving the state’s governor in his narrative.

But after the organization suggested Peterson could either play for the club or not play at all, it appears the 30-year-old blinked first in this stalemate.

Wonder if money had anything to do with his change of heart. You know, not to be cynical or anything.

It will be interesting to see how he’s welcome back by Vikings fans and fans of the other fan bases. Could get a little ugly.
