Arthur Juan Brown is more than just a wide receiver. He is also a standout on the baseball diamond. And now he might be hinting at the idea of doing both.

Not long after the Titans were eliminated from the playoffs, Brown said that often he thinks about playing both sports again and joked that he would be better than Michael Jordan. Now he’s getting cryptic on Twitter.

In high school, Brown was a standout at Starkville High School. He is one of just four players ever to play in both the baseball Under Armour All-American game and football Under Armour All-American game.

One MLB scout, Stephen Moritz of the San Diego Padres, needed just one look to know that he was going to be a star in whatever sport he chose.

When Brown was an 18-year-old senior, he was standing on first base when the next batter ripped a line drive up the left field line. After racing around second and touching third, Brown headed home and scored with ease.

“It was like watching a grown man on a field of high schoolers,” Moritz told MLB.com. “Like, ‘Oh my God, this dude just scored from first, easy.’ … The first time I saw him, I knew this was a different kind of athlete than 99 percent of the players we were going to scout.”

From that point forward, he was on the Padres’ radar. Ranked as the 125th outfielder in his class, San Diego drafted him with the team’s 19th round pick in 2016.

Needless to say, Brown chose football, but could have been special as a baseball player.

He is not just quick, but he also has power and perfect bat flip form.

And his swing is smooth.

Thus, when Brown took to Twitter on Tuesday, he may have hinted at the idea of a return to the diamond. He got very cryptic with the eyeball emoji.

Not long thereafter, he posted a video of himself taking some hacks in a batting cage.

As of this moment, the Padres officials are viewing Brown’s tweets as him expressing his love for the sport. He has not formally reached out to the club, who would still own his rights if he chose to try and play baseball.

The belief in San Diego is that Brown’s return to baseball is unlikely. However, they might check in with his camp, just to be sure.

In the meantime, we can only dream about what kind of athlete Brown could be if he decided to pick up his bat and glove once again.
