Not every team is able to bounce back and maintain competitiveness after losing the Super Bowl, as plenty of organizations have gone into a slump after taking a loss.

The Philadelphia Eagles hope to avoid that altogether, and they should considering how stacked the roster is right now.

However, the sting from losing the Super Bowl to the Kansas City Chiefs is still felt. But it sounds like AJ Brown is gearing up to put that loss in the past.

Brown claims he’s using the loss as a learning opportunity to continue improving for Philadelphia. Additionally, with the summer quickly approaching, it’s important for this team to shift its attention toward the 2023 season.

Here’s what AJ Brown had to say about overcoming the Eagles’ Super Bowl loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, per Kevin Patra.

“Me personally, I took some time to watch and try to learn from the mistakes — not just from that game, just from all year. But in terms of that game, you just can’t dwell on it. That’s life. Not everything is going to go your way. At some point, you’ve got to get off the mat and get back working. I think that’s where this team’s at right now, definitely have that chip on that shoulder. Still taking it day by day, still early. You’re just building the house brick by brick.”

When asked about how difficult it will be for the Eagles to overcome this battle, AJ Brown was quick to claim that it won’t be all that difficult. The main reason being that Philly’s roster is built for long term success.

“No, it’s not hard to do, ’cause this is our lives. We’re world-class athletes for a reason. Adversity happens. That was a big one. It’s the Super Bowl. But as athletes, we face adversity all the time. Even if it’s small adversity, we face it, and we have to deal with it. I look at it in terms of it’s just life. Of course, you can want something so bad, but if it’s not your time, it’s just not your time. Get back to work. Don’t quit. You never know cause next time could be your time. We one day at a time. We not trying to look ahead, season’s far ahead, but we working one day at a time.”

Brown certainly has a good head on his shoulders. This is a great mentality to have moving forward.

Considering he’s a leader on the team, it’s easy to imagine his teammates feeling the same way.

Luckily, Philadelphia still have plenty of time to prepare for the 2023 season, as it’s still only May. They have several more weeks before things begin ramping up in June.

But due to the level-headed response from AJ Brown, it’s safe to say the Eagles are in a great place to remain on top of the league next season.

Look for this franchise to be one of the top teams, as the roster is stacked throughout.
