Al Pacino Will Play Joe Paterno in Upcoming Movie

Joe Posnanski’s biography of Joe Paterno, which has been roundly criticized for being too soft on the former Penn State coaching legend, is being optioned for a movie with Al Pacino in the title role.

Pacino will team with Brian De Palma, who directed him in “Scarface” and “Carlito’s Way.”

It’s going to be interesting to see how much time is spent on the Jerry Sandusky storyline and how much is spent on the decades before the scandal.

I have only one suggestion: Please, please get Damian Lewis to play Mike McQueary.
