Year after year, the Alabama Crimson Tide football program sees running back talent head to the next level in the NFL Draft.

Just since the 2019 draft, they’ve had Josh Jacobs, Damien Harris, Najee Harris, Brian Robinson, and Jahmyr Gibbs have all been drafted in the first 3 rounds and 3 of them were 1st-round picks.

While that means that the Crimson Tide regularly have top-tier talent at the position on their roster, it also leaves them regularly needing to replace a star at the position.

They currently find themselves in that position as they try to replace Gibbs after he was taken 12th overall by the Lions, but it looks like they have already begun to focus on making sure they have a replacement ready for one of their future running backs when they inevitable head for the league.

Yesterday, 4-star running back Anthony Rogers reveled on Twitter that he would be committing to play for the Crimson Tide.

It will be a while before we actually see Rogers play college football as he is a member of the Class of 2025, but his signing is already a big win for Alabama in that class.

Rogers is currently ranked as the 87th overall prospect in 2025 and the number 8 running back.

He’ll be the latest in a long line of talent backs for Alabama and he likely couldn’t have picked a better option to try and get him to the NFL.

Rogers recently also had Auburn, Florida, Georgia, and Oregon in his final five potential schools, but even with big names like that, none of them have been as successful as Alabama at getting running backs to the next level.

It’ll be two more years before he can actually play for the Alabama Crimson Tide, but fans should already be excited what their future holds in the backfield.
