UVA Track & Field star Alahna Sabbakhan has gone viral a month after posting a video of her absolutely smoking an extremely average dude who challenged her to a 400M race.

This is the classic case of some guy with too much hubris thinking he can be a woman at sports simply because he’s a man. The guy had no business running a 400M race let alone running it against Alahna Sabbakhan who ran the 400M in just 54.67 at the ACC Outdoor Championships in 2023. She was also named to the 2022-23 ACC Honor Roll and has been cleaning UP at the University of Virginia ever since she arrived there.

It’s unclear specifically when Alahna Sabbakhan smoked this dude. But she posted the video to TikTok back on December 17th where it immediately went viral. But the Internet works in mysterious ways and for some reason, it just got picked up on X (formerly Twitter) over the weekend and a whole new audience was blown away by her stomping this dude down the stretch.

@lahnazak

Just to clarify, I did NOT want to race this man😂 I was already at the track with my bf doing a work out and he came to join. #trackandfield#running

If you didn’t have the volume on, go back and watch it again with the volume on because her narration is perfect. Hearing her go through the steps of letting him think he was in it before pulling away is amazing.

It should go without saying but I’ll say it anyway: fellas, check your ego. If you are someone who might hit the gym once a month you have no business challenging a collegiate athlete to a race.

This is an extension of us fellas sitting around talking about the largest possible animal we could take in a fight. An estimated 7% of men think they can take a grizzly bear in an unarmed fight. And roughly 50% of dudes think they could land a plane in an emergency without any training whatsoever. The latter of which I 100% agree with. But unless you’re a track athlete, don’t challenge a track athlete to a race or it will end very poorly.
