UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira has gained a ton of weight overnight for his Saturday night vs Jiri Prochazka.
On Friday morning, Pereira weighed in at 205 pounds during the commission’s official weigh-in.

On Saturday, just hours before his UFC 303 fight, Pereira took to social media to show how much weight he had gained overnight after rehydrating his body.

While some fans were outraged by how much weight Pereira gained, veteran MMA journalist Aaron Bronsteter assured them this was normal for a light heavyweight in the UFC.
“This is a typical amount of weight for a light heavyweight to put back on following a weight cut.”
