The main event at UFC 287 was basically a firework display after Israel Adesanya knocked out Alex Pereira.
After displaying what might be the coldest celebration ever, Adesanya then turned around and taunted Pereira’s son.
The former middleweight champion finally responds to his opponent’s actions, per MMA Mania.
Here is the clip of Alex Pereira talking about the incident at the conclusion of UFC 287.

Pereira’s laid-back demeanor is quite noticeable. Some would think if another fighter taunted their kid, they’d be a bit more upset about it.
Instead, the former champ throws a little shade at Adesanya by basically calling him a child.
Additionally, it doesn’t seem like Alex Pereira is really mad about the whole thing either.
As a matter of fact, that’s as good of a response as you’ll get from anybody. UFC fans sure seem to agree.
Cool so basically Alex never encouraged this behavior, says he wouldn’t do it but understands how happy, relieved and in the moment Izzy was. Hit all the points I was thinking.

Being humble in defeat is a great quality for anyone to have.
Both fighters took their L very well in their own manner. Pereira really took his with grace👏

Some fight fans hope to see Alex Pereira take on Israel Adesanya again. However, it’s unclear whether or not that will happen.
There’s speculation right now that Pereira will move up to the light heavyweight division. If that’s the case, then we might be able to put the Pereira-Adesanya saga to bed.
If not, well, a UFC trilogy could come to fruition down the road.
