The Kansas City Chiefs hit rock bottom in 2012 when they finished the season with a 2-14 record and it took them less than a week to make some major changes, as GM Scott Pioli saw his ass get kicked to the curb the same day the team announced it had tapped Andy Reid to be their new head coach.
Reid was coming off of an almost equally rough season in Philadelphia but the change of scenery turned out to be beneficial for all of the parties involved. The organization immediately saw things turn around under their new head coach, as the Chiefs haven’t finished a season with a losing record since he took over and have only missed the playoffs a single time during his tenure.
Kansas City fared fairly well with Alex Smith in the pocket but the franchise ushered in a new era when it traded him in 2018 and handed over the keys to Patrick Mahomes, who proceeded to earn MVP honors in his first year as a starter while leading the Chiefs to the AFC Championship.
Mahomes seems to be the top contender to succeed Tom Brady as the most formidable quarterback in the NFL when the Patriots legend finally falls off, and while New England ultimately dashed Kansas City’s Super Bowl dreams last season, the Chiefs will be playing in The Big Game for the first time in 50 years after beating the Titans on Sunday.
Wilford Brimley’s long-lost brother was in very good spirits following the victory and joked he’s going to try to shed some pounds before heading to Miami to compete for the Lombardi Trophy.

However, he decided to indulge a bit before starting his diet, as he spoke with a reporter on Monday and revealed he celebrated Sunday’s win in a very on-brand fashion by housing a cheeseburger before crashing for the night.

I’d expect nothing less from the man who once crushed a 40-ounce steak in 19 minutes.
