Former Louisiana State University and hopeful WNBA star Angel Reese showed up to the 2024 WNBA Draft in style, as the 21-year-old wore a deep-cut silver dress that came complete with a headdress.

Reese, one of the most popular players in all of college sports — she has over 3 million followers on Instagram and was featured in the 2023 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition — is currently projected by ESPN to be selected #8 overall by the Chicago Sky at the 2024 WNBA Draft, which begins on Monday, April 15 at 7:30 a.m.

The 2024 WNBA is probably the most notable in the history of the league as star University of Iowa sharpshooter Caitlin Clark, arguably already one of the most popular women’s basketball players of all time, will be taken by the Indiana Fever with the #1 overall pick.

Reese, a 6’3″ forward from Maryland, and Clark, 6’0″ guard from Iowa, memorably met in the championship game of the 2023 Women’s NCAA Tournament, which saw Reese famously trash-talk Clark in the title game, which LSU won by a score of 102-85. While Clark racked up 30 points in the game, the Tigers — led by Reese’s 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists — were able to advance.

The duo also faced off in the Elite Eight of the 2024 NCAA Tournament, with Clark’s Hawkeyes advancing thanks to a 94-87 victory. Both Clark and Reese balled in that game, as Clark had 41 points, 12 assists, and 7 rebounds, while Reese posted 17 points, 20 rebounds, and 4 assists.
