BERLIN, GERMANY - SEPTEMBER 10: Caitlin Clark of USA, Angel Reese of USA during the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup Germany 2026 quarter-final between USA and Hungary at Berlin Arena on September 10, 2026 in Berlin, Germany.
Perhaps the greatest bit of irony surrounding the rivalry between WNBA superstars Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese is that the two complement one another nearly perfectly on a basketball court.
Reese’s defensive instincts, screening, and ability to rim run make her an ideal fit next to Clark. Meanwhile, Clark’s passing and preference to play at a high tempo fit hand in hand with Reese’s nonstop motor.
Now, the two are playing alongside one another for Team USA at the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in Germany, and unsurprisingly, they’re absolutely terrorizing opposing teams.

Angel Reese Speaks Out On Growing Chemistry With Caitlin Clark
While Reese and Clark couldn’t be any more different personality-wise, on the court, they’re both intense competitors who want nothing more than to win.
That is why Reese is happy to team with Clark for Team USA, and vice versa. Following Thursday’s blowout win over Hungary in the quarterfinals of the tournament, Reese spoke about her growing chemistry with her longtime rival.
Angel Reese on her chemistry with Caitlin Clark:
“I’m sure we know each other’s game like the back of each other’s hand … So it’s fun. We just continue to build chemistry because we know we’re going to be USA teammates for a while.”pic.twitter.com/r5Go2pQWew

“We’ve played against each other so many times. So I’m sure we know each other’s game like the back of each other’s hand,” the Atlanta Dream star said. “So I just easily dished it off to her. She dished it off to me. She knows my slides. I kind of got one to her today, or maybe two. So it’s fun. We just continue to build chemistry because we know we’re going to be USA teammates for a while
If you’re a Team USA fan, that has to be music to your ears. Alongside fellow young stars Paige Bueckers and Olivia Miles, the Stars and Stripes look loaded for the next decade-plus.
